County Executive Committee Member for Health, Roselyn Mungai, today visited Menengai Crater Dispensary in Kiamaina Ward to assess healthcare service delivery. During the visit, she engaged with the nurse in charge, Rebecca Githendu, and reviewed facility records, which indicated that 62 clients received healthcare services at different points of care within the day.

The dispensary is implementing the Big Catch Up campaign, a government initiative aimed at ensuring children receive essential immunizations. Through this program, the facility is reaching out to caregivers to ensure that no child misses vaccines. This aligns with the county’s broader efforts to enhance immunization coverage and reduce the risk of preventable diseases.

In addition to healthcare service delivery, the facility has also introduced a greening initiative to improve the environment within the dispensary. This initiative is part of efforts to create a more organized and patient-friendly space for healthcare delivery.

The visit reflects Governor Susan Kihika’s commitment to improving healthcare access at the grassroots level. Her administration has prioritized primary healthcare strengthening, ensuring that dispensaries and health centers receive the necessary support to provide uninterrupted services to residents. The consistent service delivery at Menengai Crater Dispensary demonstrates how investments in the health sector are yielding results for communities.

Governor Kihika’s focus on healthcare infrastructure, human resource support, and preventive health campaigns aligns with her administration’s pledge to provide accessible and quality healthcare services across Nakuru County. The county continues to monitor and support health facilities to enhance efficiency and ensure residents receive the care they need.
