Chief Officer Edward Gitau Extends Governor Kihika’s Condolences to Bereaved Family

In a somber gathering at Koyumtich in Soin ward, Nakuru County, Chief Officer of Public Participation and Citizen Engagement, Hon. Edward Gitau, joined family and friends for the final send-off mass service of the late Roy Kipruto Kibet and Leon Kimaru Kibet. The two young boys tragically drowned in the Molo River two weeks ago, leaving the community in mourning.

Hon. Gitau, representing Nakuru County Governor Susan Kihika, conveyed heartfelt condolences to the grieving family. He assured the community that Governor Kihika is deeply committed to promptly addressing the concerns of county residents and expressed gratitude to neighbors who stood by the family throughout the mourning period.

During the emotional ceremony, Hon. Gitau highlighted the Governor’s commitment to providing support to the affected family, acknowledging the profound impact of the tragic incident on the community. The Governor’s dedication to engaging with residents and offering support during times of adversity was emphasized as a cornerstone of her leadership.

In addition to expressing condolences, Hon. Gitau announced that the bursary disbursements for beneficiaries in high schools and institutions of higher learning would be ready later in the month. Visoi ward MCA, Hon. Hellen Chemutai, took a moment to appreciate the County Government for the moral, social, and financial support provided to the bereaved family since the unfortunate incident occurred. The ceremony was attended by various dignitaries, including the area administration chief, former MCA Hon. Simon Kiprop, and representatives from the Senator’s office.
