The Nakuru County Government has commenced the construction of a one-kilometre sewer line in Kabati estate, Viwandani Ward, Naivasha Sub-County. The project involves the installation of UPVC pipes and the construction of concrete manholes, aimed at providing an efficient fluid flow and improved drainage system for over 500 households in the area.
Once completed, the new sewer line is expected to significantly enhance sanitation services and hygiene for the residents of Kabati. This development is a testament to Governor Susan Kihika’s commitment to improving and expanding drainage infrastructure across Nakuru County.
Key officials, including Sub-County Administrator Elizabeth Wangui, and Sub-county Water Officer Eng attended the project launch. John Karani, representatives from the Nakuru Water and Sanitation Services Company (Nawassco), and a representative from the office of the Area MCA. The team expressed optimism that the initiative would address long-standing sanitation issues in the estate, improving residents’ overall quality of life.
