In a gesture of goodwill, the County Executive for Lands, Housing, and Urban Planning, John Kihagi, represented Governor Susan Kihika at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Parish in Kinungi, Naivasha-East Ward, Naivasha Sub-County. This visit was not just a representation but also an opportunity to fulfill a promise made by Governor Kihika to the Church.
Mr. Kihagi delivered Christmas gifts, including a five-seater seat for the Parish Priest residence. The thoughtful gift was in honor of a commitment previously made, showcasing the County Government’s dedication to supporting and fostering strong ties with the local religious community. The current Parish Priest, Fr. Cornelius Omondi, received the gifts with gratitude, and the gesture further strengthened the bond between the County Government and the parish.
During his visit, the County Executive emphasized the County Government’s commitment to addressing various issues affecting the residents of the area. From improving road infrastructure to expanding the water network and resolving market and land issues, the County Government, under the leadership of H.E Governor Susan Kihika, is actively working towards enhancing the overall well-being of the community.
“The County Government is committed to resolving issues affecting area residents, and we are actively working on initiatives to improve roads, increase the water network, and address market and land issues,” assured Mr. Kihagi. This commitment reflects the administration’s dedication to holistic development and responding to the needs voiced by the community.
Accompanying the County Executive were Chief Officers, including Joyce Ncece (Disaster Management), Samuel Ndegwa (Trade), and Kennedy Mugo (Infrastructure). Also present were MCAs Virginia Wamaitha (Hells Gate), Elijah Mwaura (Biashara Ward), Jane Wanjiru (Maella Ward), Francis Kuria (Malewa Ward), Alex Mbugua (Lake View Ward), along with ward coordinators and other County Officials.
