County Trade Executive, Hon. Stephen Kuria, headed a team of County officials to inspect the construction project of Njoro Market in Njoro Ward, Njoro Sub County, in preparation for its official handover to traders by Governor Susan Kihika.
Hon. Kuria emphasized that the project aligns with Governor Susan Kihika’s manifesto, which aims to create a conducive trading environment for Nakuru County residents. During the inspection, he expressed his appreciation to the locals and the contractors for the project’s good progress. The team included Mr Samuel Ndegwa (CO Trade), Veronica Njiiri (Department Project Coordinator), Hon. Hezekiah Kungu (Njoro MCA), Francis Njoroge (Office of the Governor), Laban Rop (Site engineer), and market officials.
The Njoro Market is designed to enhance strict food handling and hygiene standards and provide traders with protection from sun and rain. Other attendees included Mr Sammy Ngige (Environment Officer), Paul Tuey (Ag. Ward Admin), and Ruth Nduta (Coordinator), among others. The market’s construction is set to benefit traders and enhance the overall trading environment in Nakuru County.
