DG David Kones Leads Nakuru County Officials in Paying Respects to Late Mrs. Feleria Naigisa Maara

The Deputy Governor of Nakuru County, H.E. David Kones, headed a delegation of County Government Officials to pay their last respects to the late Mrs. Feleria Naigisa Maara, the wife of Dr. Nelson Maara, Nakuru County Executive for Water and Environment. The funeral service was held at their residence in Ogilgei, Mosop Ward, Rongai Sub County.

Deputy Governor Kones conveyed the heartfelt condolences of H.E. Governor Susan Kihika to the bereaved family and paid tribute to the late Mrs. Naigisa’s unwavering dedication and passion. He acknowledged her not only as a loving mother but also as a champion for development and unity within the community. In her message, he reiterated the government’s steadfast commitment to fulfilling the promises made during their campaign, which encompass various projects such as the tarmacking of the Njoro to Ngata road, the initiation of water projects, and the establishment of dispensaries, among others.

Mr. Kones also emphasized the importance of unity among the residents, urging them to refrain from engaging in divisive politics. He underlined the ongoing development agenda for Nakuru County, which continues to take shape.

The funeral service was attended by various dignitaries, including area MP Paul Chebor, Nakuru County Executive Members Zipporah Ngugi (Education), Stephen Kuria (Trade), Leonard Bor (Agriculture), John Kihagi (Lands), Iribe Njogu (Finance), and Josephine Achieng (Sports). The Chief Officers were represented by Kennedy Mungai (Environment), while County Attorney Caleb Nyamwange and MCAs, led by Majority Leader Dr. Alex Langat, were also in attendance. This gathering of officials and dignitaries reflected the community’s collective support during this time of mourning.
