Gathima Borehole Water project

The Nakuru County Government has officially launched the drilling of a water borehole under the Gathima Water Project in Mai Mahiu Ward, Naivasha Sub-County. Once completed, the project is set to supply safe and clean water to over 2,000 residents in Gathima and London areas, easing water scarcity and meeting the high local demand by supplementing existing boreholes.

Area MCA Hon. Eliud Kamau praised Governor Susan Kihika’s commitment to addressing water challenges in the region, emphasizing the project’s role in improving residents’ access to clean water and enhancing sanitation. The launch was attended by Sub-County Administrator Elizabeth Wangui, Water Officer John Karani, and a representative from the Naivasha Water and Sewerage Company (Naivawasco), all showing support for this critical infrastructure development aimed at elevating living standards for the community.
