The County Government of Nakuru, led by H.E Governor Susan Kihika, is steadfast in its commitment to ensuring every child’s right to access quality education. The administration’s dedication to early childhood development is evident through its continued investment in ECDE centers, with a focus on nurturing young learners in the County.

This commitment is underscored by the distribution of child-friendly learning materials that are not only visually appealing but also tailored to support the child’s holistic development. In Nakuru East and Nakuru West Sub Counties, the County has distributed over 400 psychomotor, religious, and teacher-guide learning materials designed for Pre-Primary 1 (PP1) and Pre-Primary 2 (PP2) classes. This distribution effort has extended to other Sub-Counties, including Njoro, Gilgil, Rongai, Molo, Kuresoi North, Kuresoi South, and Subukia.

The administration’s comprehensive approach ensures that learning materials are provided for all areas of the ECDE curriculum, fostering a balanced learning environment for young students. The commitment to continue this exercise emphasizes the County’s dedication to achieving equitable access to quality education for all children.

The distribution events were attended by various stakeholders, including representatives from the Directorate of Education, local MCAs, Sub County Administrators, headteachers, ECDE teachers, and parents. Nakuru County’s investment in ECDE materials is a testament to its mission to provide quality education for its youngest learners.
