In a proactive move to enhance cleanliness and promote proper waste disposal, Nakuru City has recently installed 15 additional litter bins in key locations across the central business district. These strategically placed bins are also equipped with separate compartments and lids to encourage waste segregation and reduce environmental pollution.
The City’s management, under the guidance of H.E. Governor Susan Kihika’s Administration, has taken this step to minimize greenhouse gas emissions associated with improper waste disposal. Moreover, they have allocated funding in this fiscal year to educate the public about the importance of effective waste segregation and management.
This initiative aims to create a cleaner and more sustainable central business district, fostering a sense of pride and responsibility among both residents and visitors.
