Governor Susan Kihika has made good on her promise to open a 500-meter section of the Moricho-Bongolia road through dozing in Visoi Ward. This stretch of road had been rendered impassable for an extended period due to the formation of a deep gully.
The response to this project has been overwhelmingly positive, as the once mere footpath has undergone remarkable transformation within days of its commencement. The initiative is a significant relief to local residents who had patiently awaited the road’s reopening, ending years of frustration caused by its poor condition. It not only improves connectivity but also opens up the Moricho area to new business opportunities.
The Department of Infrastructure is dedicated to enhancing rural area connectivity by rehabilitating roads, contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals, and ensuring all roads are in a motorable condition. This project underscores the commitment to improve infrastructure and benefit the community.
