Oxygen Supply in Nakuru Health Facilities

The County Department of Health is making remarkable progress in the construction of oxygen cylinder manifold sheds across 12 health facilities, reinforcing Governor Susan Kihika’s commitment to strengthening emergency response and improving critical care services.

At Nakuru County Referral and Teaching Hospital, the biomedical team has confirmed that the final touches are complete, while PGH Annex has completed roof works and is finalizing ramp construction. Other key facilities are at various stages of completion:

  • Gilgil – Ring beam completed.

  • Sanchagwan, Molo, and Elburgon – Ramp and structural works in progress.

  • Kabazi and Nyamamithi – Superstructure walling underway.

  • Subukia and Bahati – Foundation walling and ramp works in progress.

  • Kiptangwany – Ground floor slab has been completed.

  • Njoro – Backfilling is completed, and ramp construction is ongoing.

  • Olenguruone – Foundation footing done, walling works ongoing.

These infrastructure upgrades will ensure that Nakuru’s health facilities are better equipped to handle emergencies and critical care cases, guaranteeing that patients have access to life-saving oxygen when they need it most. Governor Kihika’s administration remains committed to improving healthcare services and enhancing medical infrastructure for the well-being of all residents.
