Grading and Gravelling of Access Roads Launched in Elburgon Ward

Infrastructure development in Nakuru County has received a boost with the commencement of grading and gravelling of access roads in Elburgon Ward, Molo Sub-county, under the Imarisha Barabara program. The initiative, spearheaded by the Nakuru County Government through the Department of Infrastructure, is set to improve connectivity and enhance mobility for residents in the densely populated ward.

The roadworks aim to address persistent challenges such as poor road conditions that hinder access to markets, schools, and essential services. Residents of Elburgon Ward have expressed optimism that the upgraded infrastructure will ease transportation and stimulate economic growth by facilitating trade and other daily activities.

This project is part of the broader Imarisha Barabara program, a flagship initiative of Governor Susan Kihika’s administration that focuses on infrastructure development as a driver of economic growth. The program is designed to improve access and mobility across Nakuru County, ensuring that all residents benefit from better connectivity and enhanced opportunities.

During an inspection of the ongoing works, the County Executive Committee Member for Infrastructure Eng. Michael Kamau and Elburgon Ward MCA Peter Njuguna reaffirmed the county’s commitment to delivering sustainable infrastructure projects that will transform lives. Their presence underscored the administration’s dedication to addressing the region’s infrastructural challenges and promoting development.

The grading and gravelling exercise is expected to pave the way for long-term development and increased accessibility in the region, further cementing Nakuru County’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for its residents.
