This significant initiative aims to provide residents with access to clean and safe drinking water. The project will not only address water needs but also contribute to the improvement of water, hygiene, and sanitation standards in the low-income areas of Nakuru city, specifically in Kiamaina and Free Area.

The upgraded sewerage system will also extend its benefits to residents of Free Area in Nakuru East Sub-county. The Deputy Governor, during the ceremony, emphasized the positive impact that the Heshima water projects would have on the community’s well-being.

Accompanying Deputy Governor Kones were Chief of Staff Dr. Peter Ketyenya, CECM Dr. Nelson Maara (Water, Sanitation, Environment), Chief Officers, political office representatives, NAWASCO Representatives, and MCAs, including Hon. Paul Waweru from Kiamaina. The collaboration between the county and external partners highlights the commitment to improving essential services and infrastructure for the residents of Nakuru County.
