Delivering Clean Water, One Project at a Time
Since 2022, Nakuru County, under the leadership of Governor Susan Kihika, has made significant strides in water access. To date, 60 boreholes have been drilled, 45 solar systems have been installed, and 102 water projects have been piped, covering a network of 407 kilometres. Additionally, 23 water kiosks and 13 protected springs have been established, alongside the distribution of 43 water tanks with a total capacity of 1.58 million litres. These interventions have benefited over 77,500 people in 15,500 households. With 62.3% of residents now accessing clean water, the County remains committed to expanding this vital service.
