The Department of Infrastructure in Nakuru County has taken a significant step towards enhancing local amenities and transportation with the initiation of two crucial projects. The department has officially handed over the construction projects for Motorbike Sheds in Biashara Ward, Nakuru East Sub-County, and Maiella Ward, Naivasha Sub-County, to the contractor.
In Biashara Ward, Nakuru East Sub-County, the project entails the construction of three motorbike sheds at an estimated cost of Ksh 1,050,000. These sheds are designed to provide shelter and security for motorcycles, a common mode of transport in the area. The initiative aims to improve transportation infrastructure while creating designated spaces for motorbike owners.
Simultaneously, in Maiella Ward, Naivasha Sub-County, the project takes on a larger scale. Seven motorbike sheds are set to be constructed at a cost of Ksh 2.5 million. This development is particularly significant in Naivasha, known for its vibrant economic activities and the need for efficient transportation options.
Additionally, the department has handed over the proposed routine maintenance project for the Italian Marari road in Naivasha East Ward to the contractor. Routine maintenance is a vital aspect of preserving road quality and ensuring the safety of commuters. The Italian Marari road plays a crucial role in connecting communities in Naivasha East Ward.
These infrastructure projects align with the County Government’s commitment to improving local amenities and transportation networks, fostering economic growth, and enhancing the overall quality of life for residents. The construction of motorbike sheds not only addresses practical transportation needs but also contributes to the aesthetic and organized development of these areas.
As the contractor takes charge of these projects, the anticipation is high among the residents, who look forward to the positive transformations these initiatives will bring to Nakuru East and Naivasha Sub-Counties.
