The county government of Nakuru is committed to providing affordable and quality healthcare to all the residents of Nakuru County. The assurance was made by Governor Susan Kihika during a visit by President William Ruto to Nakuru County.
“We believe a healthy population is a productive and prosperous one and we shall ensure every Nakuru County resident has access to affordable and quality healthcare,” said Kihika.
President William Ruto, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and CS Health Susan Nakhumincha toured the Nakuru County Teaching and Referral Hospital.
Kihika noted that with support from the National Government, the county shall now equip the new outpatient wing.
The new wing will continue to provide quality health care and services to thousands of people daily.
“We shall also get National Government’s support in equipping the new wing at Naivasha General Hospital which will go a long way in decongesting the hospital” she added.
This is even as the county vowed to ensure completion and equipping of the trauma Center that has stalled since 2012.
“It will go a long way in saving lives in the case of accidents or natural catastrophes in our area and neighbouring counties,” stated Kihika.
The National Government has also committed to completing a second banker in our Oncology Center to allow the installation of Linarc Radiotherapy Equipment for cancer treatment.
