Senator Susan Kihika today, 26th October, spent the better part of the day with Energy Cabinet Secretary Charles Keter launching the last mile connectivity project in various parts of the County.
Some of the areas that benefited from the program include Mafuta Taa (Mai Mahiu) and Maraigushu in Naivasha. Other beneficiaries were residents of Piave and Nessuit in Njoro; and Emitik and Soitaver in Kuresoi South.
Kuresoi North was also a beneficiary at Mlima and Kiptenden.
Nothing beats the joy on the faces of our parents when they switch on the light for the very first time. They will no longer have to use paraffin which is more expensive and a health hazard,”said Senator Kihika after the launch.
“The kids can now complete their homework in a well lit room,” she added.
She has also said that the roll-out of the program will be done in all Constituencies in Nakuru County.
