Directors from the Nakuru County Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, and Veterinary Services have officially signed their Performance Contracts for the financial year 2023/2024. This signing ceremony comes after the department’s Chief Officers inked similar agreements, marking a significant step towards improving service delivery to the people of Nakuru.

The County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Agriculture, Leonard Bor, emphasized the importance of these performance contracts in enhancing the quality of services offered to Nakuru residents. He highlighted that these contracts play a pivotal role in implementing the county government’s policies, programs, and projects, aligning with the overarching goal of Governor Susan Kihika’s administration to enhance accountability, productivity, and service delivery. These performance contracts are integral to Governor Kihika’s transformative agenda for Nakuru County.

In attendance at the signing ceremony were the Chief Officers for Agriculture, Newton Mwaura, and Livestock, Fisheries, and Veterinary Services, Dr. Michael Cheruiyot.
