The Nakuru County Government, under the leadership of H.E Governor Susan Kihika, demonstrated its commitment to assisting those in need by providing a relief package to a family in Waseges ward, Subukia Sub-county. The family had lost their entire household items in a devastating fire.
Joyce Ncece, the Chief Officer for Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance, personally delivered essential items such as bedding, mattresses, and iron sheets for roofing. This swift response reflects the county administration’s dedication to providing immediate support to its residents.
During the visit, Hon. Elijah Murage, the area MCA, extended his support to the affected family and highlighted various development projects initiated by Governor Susan Kihika’s administration in the area. These projects include the construction of market shades in Polepole and Suswa centres, road grading and murraming of the Kipsigis Manyatta road, and the drilling of boreholes in Suswa, Kianoe, and Keriko areas.
The collective efforts of local government officials aim to assist residents affected by crises and promote development projects within Nakuru County.
