Nakuru County Governor Susan Kihika and the First Gentleman, Mr. Sam Mburu, have brightened the festive season for underprivileged children by donating and distributing foodstuffs to 16 children’s homes across the county. This charitable gesture ensures a joyous celebration and provides a sustainable supply of essential items to support the homes in the coming months.
The donations included wheat flour, maize flour, rice, sugar, cooking oil, soap, diapers, sanitary towels, and other consumables, sufficient to meet the needs of the homes for several months. The distribution exercise, overseen by Chief Officer for Youth, Sports, and Talent Pastor Alex Maina, highlighted the County’s commitment to caring for its vulnerable populations.
Managers of the children’s homes expressed their gratitude to the Governor and First Gentleman, extending blessings and warm wishes for a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. This act of kindness reflects the true spirit of the festive season, spreading hope and joy to Nakuru’s most deserving children.
