Nakuru County Harnesses Data-Driven Decision-Making for Healthcare Advancement

Embracing Data-Driven Decision-Making

Nakuru County, under the leadership of Governor Susan Kihika, places a significant emphasis on data for decision-making, aligning with the Governor’s transformative agenda. Recognizing the pivotal role of data-driven decision-making in achieving healthcare goals, the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) is currently disseminating the 2022 Kenya Demographic and Health Survey (2022 KDHS) to stakeholders in the healthcare sector.

County Executive Committee Member for Health, Roselyn Mungai, took the lead in today’s engagement, bringing together healthcare professionals, managers, and National Government officers to explore the insights provided by the 2022 KDHS for strategic planning.

“Understanding the local health landscape empowers our healthcare providers to implement targeted strategies that resonate with the specific needs of Nakuru residents,” highlighted Mungai. The commitment to utilizing data for informed decision-making reflects the County’s dedication to delivering responsive and effective healthcare services.

Nakuru County Commissioner Loyford Kibaara actively participated in the forum, emphasizing the collaborative effort to leverage health data for the advancement of healthcare services in Nakuru County. This concerted initiative represents a promising stride towards a healthcare system that is both responsive and efficient, aligned with the County’s commitment to improving the well-being of its residents.
