Roselyn Mungai, the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Health, welcomed a high-level delegation from USAID PEPFAR, led by Brian Rehmann and Shimon Prohow from Washington. The teams engaged in discussions regarding impactful health programs supported by PEPFAR, with a focus on the Primary Care Networks model implemented in Bahati Sub-County.
During the visit, the delegation had the opportunity to tour Bahati, witnessing the implementation of the hub-and-spoke model from community-level healthcare to the Bahati Rural facility and Sub-County Hospital. A special highlight was the visit to Mirugi Kariuki Sub County Hospital, showcasing the successful integration of HIV Comprehensive Care Centres with other healthcare services.
These collaborative efforts aim to achieve integrated, patient-centric, and high-quality health services, reflecting the commitment of Nakuru County to advancing healthcare delivery and community wellness.
