Road Safety Audit on Nakuru-Dundori road

Engineer Michael Kamau, the Infrastructure Executive Member, participated in a road safety audit site inspection along the Nakuru-Dundori road. The audit, conducted under the Usalama Barabani Program, aimed to identify potential safety hazards, assess road conditions, and formulate recommendations for enhancing road safety.

This site visit was part of a comprehensive 3-day workshop organized by the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA). The workshop sought to empower road stakeholders within Nakuru County with the necessary skills to become certified road safety auditors, enabling them to conduct safety audits effectively.

Observations made during the audit highlighted key areas for improvement, including the provision of a bus stop, pedestrian walkway, clear signages, pedestrian crossings, and the installation of street lights. These initiatives reflect Nakuru County’s commitment to ensuring road safety and enhancing the overall infrastructure for the well-being of road users.
