Nakuru County Officials Extend Aid to Fire-Affected Family in Turi Ward



The County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Public Service Management, Madam Jackline Osoro, joined forces with her Education counterpart, Hon. Zipporah Ngugi, to provide crucial relief to the family of Mr. Daniel Njoroge. The family lost all household items in a fire incident at Kiambiriria location in Turi ward, Molo Sub-county.

The relief items, including iron sheets, blankets, mattresses, and financial support, were delivered to alleviate the immediate challenges faced by Mr. Njoroge’s family. CECM Jackline Osoro, while conveying Governor Susan Kihika’s greetings, expressed gratitude to the residents for their continued support of the current administration. She emphasized the importance of unity and community backing in times of crisis.

Zipporah Ngugi, the Education CECM, took the opportunity to update the community on recent developments. She highlighted the conclusion of the bursary application and disbursement process, assuring that beneficiaries would not miss school in the upcoming term. The commitment to education underscores the county’s dedication to ensuring every child has access to learning opportunities.

The County’s Disaster Management Chief Officer, Madam Joyce Ncece, extended appreciation to neighbors for their swift response and assistance in preventing the fire from spreading further. In addition to providing immediate relief, she took the opportunity to educate the community on domestic fire safety and prevention measures, emphasizing the importance of proactive measures.

Hon. John Mwangi Macharia, the Turi ward MCA, expressed gratitude for the prompt response from the county department. He also highlighted ongoing development projects in the area, including the Solarization and piping of the Ngenia water project and the installation of a high mast light at Kiambiriria centre. These initiatives showcase the county’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure and community well-being.

Present were  Molo Sub-county Administrator Mr. David Kinaiya, Governors Coordinators, and local Area Administration elders. Their presence emphasized the collaborative effort between the county government and local leaders to address the immediate needs of affected families and promote sustainable development in the region.

As Nakuru County officials extend their compassion and practical assistance, the incident in Turi ward becomes a testament to the resilience of community spirit and the commitment of local leadership to stand with its residents in times of adversity.
