Nakuru County Secretary Acknowledges Church Support and Addresses Development Concerns


County Secretary Dr. Samuel Mwaura at Kingdom seekers Church, Gilgil

Nakuru County Secretary Dr. Samuel Mwaura expressed gratitude to the congregants tt the Kingdom Seekers Church, for their unwavering support to the Government, particularly in collaborating on significant projects. The Church has been a vital partner with the County Government, contributing to the construction of a state-of-the-art referral maternity unit at Bahati Sub-county Hospital. Additionally, the church has played a crucial role as an anchor investor in the innovative Kingdom Innovation model, aimed at creating employment opportunities for the youth in Nakuru County.

Speaking at the church’s Gilgil Parish the County Secetary also highlighted the Governor’s commitment to the development of Gilgil Subcounty, ensuring that Gilgil Municipality receives appropriate funding for various initiatives. Dr. Mwaura emphasized the Government’s dedication to fulfilling its promises and meeting the needs of the community.

Addressing concerns about the completed Gilgil Maternity unit, Dr. Mwaura explained that its delayed opening is due to tectonic movements. However, plans are underway to address the issue based on expert advice from geologists, and the facility will be operational soon.

Reverend Elisha Kimani, the presiding minister, affirmed the church’s continuous support for the Governor’s agenda, pledging to work hand in hand to realize the outlined manifesto for Nakuru County. The County Secretary was accompanied by key figures, including Gilgil Municipality Director Kiarie Paparazzi, Environment Officer Mary Njoki, Businessman Daniel Mungai, and representatives from the Office of the MCA Gilgil Ward.
