Nakuru County Secretary, Dr. Samuel Mwaura, attended a church service at the African Divine Church, where he encouraged congregants, especially those in need, to apply for the ongoing county bursary program. The program aims to support underprivileged families by ensuring their children can access education without financial barriers.
During his address, Dr. Mwaura also discussed the county’s school feeding program, emphasizing its role in keeping young learners in school by providing nutritious meals. He noted that the initiative has been instrumental in improving school attendance and retention rates across the county.
In addition to discussing the ongoing programs, Dr. Mwaura highlighted the importance of active public participation in local governance. He stressed that community involvement is crucial for ensuring transparency and prioritizing projects directly impacting residents.
“It is through active engagement that we can align our priorities with the needs of the people, ensuring that the development agenda benefits everyone,” Dr. Mwaura said.
Bishop Albert Kaisha, who also addressed the congregation, thanked H.E. Governor Susan Kihika for her continued support of the church and the community. The bishop pledged the church’s ongoing backing for the county’s leadership and initiatives aimed at improving the lives of Nakuru residents.
The event underscored the county government’s commitment to working closely with religious institutions and the community to drive development and improve service delivery.
