Following Governor Susan Kihika’s recent visit, the County Executive Committee Member for Health led Dr. Atul on a detailed tour of Nakuru’s Model for Primary Healthcare Network, specifically in the Bahati region. This thorough exploration encompassed every facet of primary healthcare operations, starting from community initiatives, extending to the Bahati Rural Dispensary, and concluding at the Bahati Sub County Hospital.

A pivotal figure in orchestrating the success of this model is Chief Officer for Public Health, Alice Abuki. Her instrumental role involves assembling multi-disciplinary teams dedicated to ensuring the seamless implementation of the Primary Healthcare Network in Bahati Sub-County. The significance of this model is further underscored by the support it has garnered from the USAID Tujenge Jamii initiative.

The tour, enriched by the presence of Area Member of County Assembly, Grace Mwathi, highlighted the impactful work being carried out within Nakuru County’s communities. Mwathi acknowledged and commended Governor Susan Kihika’s commitment to advancing healthcare, particularly through innovative approaches like the Primary Healthcare Networks.
