Peter Kinyua wins the Presidential Environment Conservation Award

Peter Kinyua’s journey with Nakuru County’s Department of Environment began with a chance encounter in Free Area, where his cutting-edge revolution in glass recycling impressed officials. Recognizing his potential, the Environment Department, led by Chief Officer Ken Mungai, not only encouraged Peter but also incorporated him into their initiatives.

In line with Governor Susan Kihika’s commitment to supporting innovation and entrepreneurship, Peter was taken to the Devolution Conference (Devcon 2023) in Uasin Gishua. There, he once again captivated everyone with his innovative solutions through his Eco-Glass Innovations which re-purposes discarded glass into high-quality products.

Encouraged by the Environment Department, Peter’s journey continued as he participated in the Kenya Innovation Week, where his enterprise, once again, stood out.
