A ray of hope has emerged for the Njoro family that lost all their household goods after a fire gutted down their family home.
The Department of Disaster Management has visited the family at their home in Lusiru village, Kihingo ward, and offered humanitarian assistance. The assistance came in the form of iron sheets for roofing, blankets, mattresses, and a stock of essential food items, including cereals, were handed over, giving the family a fresh start on their path to recovery.
During the distribution of relief items, Area MCA Simon Kamau expressed his gratitude for the swift and effective response from the county government in addressing emergencies. The timely response, according to a resident shows Nakuru County’s commitment to the welfare of Nakuru County residents.
Hon. Kamau also shed light on the ongoing development projects in the region, such as the upgrading of Ndeffo, Bondeni, and Store Mbili Road, as well as crucial water projects in Jirani, Kioo, Ndeffo, and Kihingo areas. These projects demonstrate the government’s commitment to the overall welfare of its residents.
Also present were area Chief Reuben Mungai and Assistant Chief Grace Wanjiru from the Lusiro location.
