The facility, set in a peaceful environment with adequate space, manages an integrated outpatient workload of 1,500 patients per month on average. This morning, County Executive Committee Member for Health, Roselyn Mungai, visited the facility to confirm and receive new medical equipment donated to improve service delivery.
The donated equipment, which includes a SLIT Lamp 2-Step Biomicroscope, Examination Couch, Applanation Tonometer Optical, Consultation Chair, Consultation Room Table, Metallic Double Door Cabinet, Patient Monitor, Plastic Chairs for Patients, and Delivery Pack, was generously provided by Generosity Abroad. This marks the sixth donation from the organization to the county. The team lead from Generosity Abroad highlighted that this contribution will significantly enhance the operational capacity of the newly constructed wing at the facility, allowing the health center to offer more comprehensive and efficient services.
The new equipment will enable the Rhonda Health Centre to offer more specialized and accurate diagnoses, particularly with the inclusion of the SLIT Lamp 2-Step Biomicroscope and the Applanation Tonometer Optical. These tools are essential for eye examinations and will greatly improve the quality of care for patients with ocular conditions. The patient monitor and delivery pack will also enhance maternal and neonatal care, ensuring safer deliveries and better monitoring of both mothers and infants.
