In a move set to address water scarcity in Elburgon Ward, Molo Sub-County, Nakuru County has begun the construction of a 50,000-liter water tank to serve more than 1,000 residents of Ribot Farm. The tank will store water from the nearby Ribot borehole, ensuring a steady supply of clean and safe drinking water for domestic use.
Once complete, the project is expected to significantly improve sanitation and hygiene in the area, alleviating the challenges faced by residents due to unreliable water sources. This initiative aligns with Governor Susan Kihika’s commitment to prioritizing water development projects across Nakuru County, enhancing access to essential services for communities in need.
Commenting on the ongoing works at the water project, Nakuru County Governor Susan Kihika has posted on Facebook that it is her dream to have every Nakuru County resident have access to clean and safe drinking water.
“If you have never had to wake up not knowing where your next gallon of water will come from, you may not understand my passion towards ensuring that every Nakuru County resident has reliable access to clean and safe drinking water,” posted Governor Susan Kihika.
The project marks another step forward in the county’s efforts to improve infrastructure and deliver on Governor Kihika’s pledge to provide clean water to all Nakuru residents.
