Department of Health in Nakuru County has successfully concluded its fifth cluster induction program. This initiative brought together teams from Njoro, Molo, and Elburgon Hospitals, equipping healthcare committees with the knowledge and skills needed to serve their communities with excellence.
The culmination of this program was witnessed by the County Executive Committee Member for Health, Roselyn Mungai, who expressed satisfaction at the enhanced capabilities of the healthcare committees. With over 100 gazetted members from various hospital boards and committees comprehensively trained, the program aimed to bolster effective governance and administration within the healthcare sector.
Chief Officer for Environment, Energy, Climate Change, and Natural Resources, Kennedy Mungai as a governance expert, he played a role in training on effective governance within these healthcare oversight teams. His expertise contributes to building a solid foundation for robust and accountable healthcare administration.
Special acknowledgment was given by Roselyn Mungai to the County Director for Health Administration and Planning, Dr. Joy Mugambi, and County Health Administrative Officer, Dominic Mburu. Both individuals served as certified trainers, diligently enhancing the capacity of the healthcare teams in oversight and administration. Their commitment reflects the county’s dedication to nurturing skilled professionals in the healthcare sector.
