The commitment of the Nakuru County Government to improving market infrastructure and providing conducive spaces for traders has materialized with the official handover of completed market stalls to the traders of Narasha market, located in Olkaria Ward, Naivasha Sub-County.

During the handover ceremony, Samuel Ndegwa, the Chief Officer for Trade, commended the contractors for their timely completion of the project. The initiative included the construction of 17 stalls, the installation of a roof water collection system, and the overall beautification of the market area. This project aligns with the vision outlined in Governor Susan Kihika’s manifesto, emphasizing the creation of a favorable environment for traders.

The traders expressed their satisfaction, anticipating improved safety for their goods, enhanced well-being, and the potential for extended business hours, ultimately leading to increased income. The completion of these market stalls signifies a tangible effort by the county government to uplift the economic landscape of the region.
