The County government of Nakuru has vowed to ensure transparency and accountability in handling public funds.
This, Governor Susan Kihika says will go a long way in ensuring her administration has no audit queries.
The Governor was speaking on February 8, 2023, when she hosted Auditor General CPA Nancy Gathungu, Deputy Auditor General Edwin Kamar and Regional Director Henry Nyadwaki.
“We engaged on audit matters and deliberated on effectively running an administration devoid of audit queries,” she said.
According to Kihika, this can be achieved through strengthening controls, observing accountability in all financial transactions, delivering services, and implementing projects to their conclusion.
“I committed to embracing transparency in the affairs of the County, ensuring that my team is accountable to every coin of finances arising from National Government disbursements and local revenue” she added.
