Senator Susan Kihika has assured residents of Kiambogo and Mutukanio in Elementaita Ward, Gilgil Sub-county that they will very soon receive title deeds for their farms.
The senator while addressing residents at Kiambogo Township primary school in Elementaita said this was one of her major campaign promises during the campaign period and she was determined to fulfill it.
“During my campaign, you requested that I assist you in getting title deeds for the farms you got through my father. I promised to so and you shall be receiving them very, very soon. I shall not relent until that is achieved” assured the senator.
She emphasized that she has been working closely with the National Government on the title deed issues and in collaboration with the County Government and the title deeds will be issued very soon.
Senator Kihika made the remarks during a ceremony to mark the retirement of teacher Lucia Gatimu who has been in the profession for 36 years.
She took the opportunity to appreciate teachers for their role in molding society and promised to continue championing their rights.
Other leaders present were Gilgil MP Martha Wangari, Majority Leader Stanley Karanja, and several current and former MCAs.
