Youths in Rhoda Ward Graduate with Basic Computer Skills Under the County Bursary Program

A total of 39 youths from Rhoda Ward, Nakuru Town West sub-county, have completed a basic computer skills training program, earning certificates that mark a significant step toward digital empowerment.

The initiative, made possible through the County Government of Nakuru’s bursary program, reflects Governor Susan Kihika’s commitment to equipping young people with essential digital skills to enhance their employability and unlock new opportunities in today’s technology-driven world.

During the certificate issuance ceremony, area MCA Hon. Macharia Gachiri lauded the County Government’s dedication to advancing tertiary education, noting that this initiative would not have been possible without Governor Kihika’s increased bursary allocation.

Empowering the Digital Generation

Representing the County Government, CECM Kuria Muiruri, Political Advisor Francis Njoroge, and Martin Gichinga commended the graduates, emphasizing the importance of digital literacy in enhancing employment opportunities, fostering entrepreneurship and self-reliance and bridging the digital divide within communities.

Nakuru County remains committed to investing in youth empowerment programs, ensuring that young people are well-equipped to thrive in an increasingly tech-driven economy.
